The itinerary of Palace on Wheels includes 7 Nights/8 Days of a royal splendor. The train leaves Delhi on every Wednesday during September to April from Delhi cantonment Railway station.
Day 01 - Wednesday - Delhi
The Palace On Wheels leaves Delhi Cant. Railway Station at 17.45 hrs, where the guests are accorded a warm, traditional welcome. Dinner is served onboard at 20.00 hrs.
Day 02 - Thursday - Jaipur
Arrival: 02.00 hrs. Departure 19.30 hrs
You are received amidst a colorful atmosphere of Shehnai recitation and herds of elephants greeting you on your arrival at the pink city of Jaipur. Enjoy your lunch at famous Rambagh Palace Hotel. Later visit Hawa Mahal, the Jantar Mantar, Amber fort to name a few with. Return back and board your train. Enjoy dinner on board.
Day 03 - Friday - Jaisalmer
Arrival: 08.15 hrs. Departure 23.00 hrs
Jaisalmer is famous for its golden fort made of yellow sandstones giving the city a golden hue. Visit the famous Havelis (mansions) such as Patwon ki haveli and Nathmalji ki haveli. Then enjoy a camel safari in the exotic sand dunes. Dinner on the sand dunes under the moonlit sky is another highlight of your visit. Also enjoy colorful cultural programs at a hotel in Jaisalmer.
Day 04 - Saturday - Jodhpur
Arrival: 07.00 hrs. Departure 15.30 hrs
Next morning you are in Jodhpur, the second largest city of rajasthan fortified by a high stonewalls with seven gates and several fortresses. Visit the famous Mehrangarh Fort, Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana. Enjoy your dinner at fabulous and majestic Umaid Bhawan Palace. Later return back to Train for your onward journey.
Day 05 - Sunday - Sawai Madhopur
Arrival: 04.00 hrs. Departure: 10.30 Hrs
Sawai Madhopur is famous for its Ranthambore National Park, one of the most famous national parks of India. Enjoy a safari to explore the richness of the park. Here you can spot tigers, chital, deer, monkeys and various other wild animals. Later visit the Ranthambore Fort. Return back and board your train.
Chittorgarh
Arrival: 15.30 Hrs
Chittorgarh is a legendary city of rajasthan and known as the city of bravery and romance. Visit the famous 7th century Chittorgarh Fort, Vijay Stambh (Tower of Victory) and the Kirti Stambh (Tower of Fame) while in Chittorgarh.
Day 06 -Monday - Udaipur
Arrival: 15.30 hrs
Udaipur, the city of lakes is famous for its various beautiful lakes. Visit the famous Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) and the Jag Mandir that appear to rise from the blue waters of Lake Pichola during your short stay at Udaipur. Thereafter, enjoy your lunch at the Lake Palace Hotel.
Day 07 - Tuesday - Bharatpur
Arrival: 06.30 hrs. Departure 11.45 hrs
Early morning arrival at Bharatpur. After breakfast, visit the world famous Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary also known as Keoladeo Ghana National Park. Here you can spot a variety of exotic and colorful bird including some of the migratory birds like the famous Siberian Cranes. Thereafter, return back to train and continue your dreamland journey.
Day 07 - Tuesday - Agra
Arrival - 14.30 Hrs
On your arrival at Agra, the city of Taj, you are transferred to a hotel where you have your lunch. After the lunch you visit the Taj Mahal, probably the most beautiful monument in the world built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, as a symbol of love for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.
Day 08 - Wednesday - Delhi
Arrival - 06.00 hrs
You have your dinner on board the train. Then the train departs for Delhi. Next morning the train arrives at Delhi Cantt. Railway Station. Enjoy your breakfast on board the train and leave the train with many beautiful memories.
